SPAAR Service Taping Technician

Expected Start Date: Immediately
Job Types: Full-Time, Permanent

Position Description:

Working closely with the SPAAR Service Field Supervisor, the SPAAR Service Manager and the service team, the Service Taping Tech is responsible for completing the taping portion of drywall repairs including tape and a coat, finish for paint and texture. The taping tech works in houses both during the construction segment and after occupancy.

Critical Aspects:

  • Strong commitment to and background in customer service
  • Very good communication skills both verbally and using smart phones
  • Strong ability to assess urgency and prioritize work accordingly
  • Strong ability to logically think through requests and problem solve
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, including excellent time management
  • Ability to multi-task and follow through on tasks
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Complete high-quality taping and sanding drywall repairs for various finishes such as painting and texture
  • Small boarding repairs- up to 3 ft X 3 ft including doorway returns
  • Complete trades date appointments in occupied homes
  • Must be able to work effectively with builders and homeowner clients
  • Must be able to effectively work with other trades including boarders, finishers, railing and cabinet installers and painters
  • Effectively manage a list of jobs and call in for more work regularly
  • Provide office with texture dates and relevant follow up information
  • Provide office with details of the work completed for billing purposes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Class 5 Alberta Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Experience in a customer service in a residential drywall environment
  • Excellent taping and sanding skills with ability to effectively trouble shoot issues in a variety of different scenarios
  • Attention to detail and deadlines, ability to multi-task, self-motivate, flexible and a team player
  • Understanding of the residential construction industry
  • Experience in the commercial drywall industry a definite asset

Experienced Residential Spray Foam Applicators

Expected Start Date: Immediately
Job Types: Full-Time, Permanent

The Position:

SPAAR Spray Systems is seeking experienced Spray Foam Applicators to join our team. Applicants should have past construction experience. The ideal applicants will work safely and efficiently, as well as have respect for coworkers and other trades on site and consistency in his or her work.

Responsibilities:

  • Safe and efficient application of Spray Foam in various environments
  • Ensure quality of work throughout jobs
  • Maintain truck and personal equipment (tools, respirators)
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Ability to efficiently manage time

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the residential or commercial construction field, preferably with Spray Foam
  • 1 years’ experience in Spray Foam application (preferred)
  • Alberta’s Class 5 Operator License (preferred)

Roofing Service Technician

Expected Start Date: Immediately
Job Types: Full-Time

The Position:

To aid the Project Manager to ensure quality & timeliness of the assigned projects through performing warranty work, repairs, expertise work and dealing with customers and crews.

Responsibilities:  

  • Assist Project Manager to close files by completing small repairs
  • Complete warranty work that may arise when a crew is no longer with us
  • Perform work that a crew doesn’t have the expertise to complete
  • Attending leaking roofs completing an inspection and temporarily tarping the roof to prevent further damage
  • Doing small jobs that are too small to send a full crew to.
  • Joining a crew when they are short staffed or have a complicated job to complete
  • Completing Audits that are left over from the Quality Assurance Tech
  • Addressing customer’s concerns related to work we have done
  • Scoping, Estimating, and completing new service work that is requested through the sales team
  • Updating our Database records
  • Photographing jobs for a Project Manager to decide corrective actions
  • Dealing with high end service calls

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of roofing experience
  • Over all Handyman
  • Able to be trusted with time management and must take self-initiative to complete work load
  • Valid Driver’s licence with a clean record
  • Siding installation experience is advantageous
  • Must be physically able to carry 25 kg up a 2 story ladder
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. over your head
  • Good Customer Service skills

Minimum Physical Requirements:

This position is conducted in a field setting, often on active construction sites. Applicant must be able to perform the following:

  • Bend
  • Stoop
  • Reach
  • Lift
  • Walk on uneven terrain
  • Comfortable with climbing ladders and working on heights
  • Move and carry construction materials and supplies that may weigh in excess of 25 kg
